Damion Hintze, BSc. (Hons.) MCPod
I graduated with a degree in podiatry in 2010, initially working extensively in the NHS and latterly private practice. My first job after graduation was a post with Kent NHS, covering all manner of clinics from routine footcare, to biomechanics to nail surgery. After a few years I left this position but continued to work in the NHS through a variety of locum positions, travelling the length and breadth of the UK. This included several roles in multi-discipline musculoskeletal services in London and a post in Wigan dealing primarily with orthopaedic and rheumatology referrals.
Prior to my podiatry degree, I was a sports therapist and personal trainer for 10 years, working with Chester City FC, Chester Rugby Club, Deeside Athletics Club in North Wales and the Wales Junior Athletic Squad. During this time I developed a special interest in lower limb sports injuries, rehabilitation and bio-mechanics, which eventually led to completing a podiatry degree.
Away from work, I like to get to see live music when I can, play guitar (badly!), and have a season ticket for Glasgow Warriors.
